This statement describes how Unia processes your personal data on the eDiv learning platform. It complements Unia’s general privacy statement.
Who is the controller?
The controller is the Interfederal Centre for Equal Opportunities (Unia), Victor Horta Square 40, box 40, 1060 Saint-Gilles.
For data-protection questions: dpo@unia.be.
What data do we collect?
When you create an account and follow a module, we process in particular:
- your identity (first name, last name, username) and email address;
- your progress in the modules (completed activities, exercise results, diplomas);
- technical data required for the site to work (session, interface language, security logs).
Why do we use your data?
Your data is used to:
- create and manage your account;
- give you access to the training modules and record your progress;
- issue a diploma when you complete a module;
- keep the platform secure;
- produce usage statistics, only from anonymised data.
Anonymised statistics
Unia may use visit and progress information to improve eDiv (for example the number of people who completed a module). These statistics are anonymised: they no longer identify you.
Your named data is not used for advertising.
Legal basis
Processing is based on:
- performance of the service you request by creating an account (access to the online courses);
- your consent, collected when the account is created;
- Unia’s legitimate interest in securing the platform and producing anonymous statistics to improve the service.
Who may receive your data?
Your data stays with Unia. It may be processed by technical providers (hosting, maintenance) solely to run the platform, under contract.
We do not sell your data or share it with commercial partners.
How long do we keep your data?
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. After 3 years without a visit, the account is anonymised automatically. Technical logs (actions, IP address) are kept for 365 days. When you request deletion, your account is anonymised: information that identifies you is erased. Statistics that have already been anonymised may be retained.
Your rights
You may at any time:
- access and correct your data (profile menu);
- download a copy of your data: download my data;
- request deletion of your data: delete my data;
- object to certain processing or withdraw your consent;
- lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
To exercise these rights, use the options above or contact dpo@unia.be.
Cookies
The platform uses only cookies that are necessary for it to work (session, language, cookie notice). The cookie policy explains how they are used.
